“El Haqeeqa” Issue No. 3
Introduction
The US State Department had no choice but to condemn the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This came after the international community turned a blind eye to the violations that they militia continued to practice.
This militia has continued its violations and breaches of international and humanitarian law by committing the most heinous crimes against civilians, especially in the state of West Darfur. They assassinated the brother of the Masalit Sultan in the most provocative manner. The abhorrent acts of the RSF militia extended to also assassinate the governor of the state of West Darfur, Khamis Abdullah Abkar. The latter is one of the signatories of the Juba Peace Agreement and is the Head of the Sudanese Coalition. The militia also carried out forced displacement of civilians in the city of El Geneina and used children in war in clear and explicit violation of international and humanitarian laws.
The RSF militia continued their nefarious actions by storming and occupying the HQs of the diplomatic missions in Sudan. They broke into the embassies of the USA and Iraq and stormed the house of the Somali ambassador in Khartoum. In addition, the RSF militia intercepted and looted the Muslim pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia. Also, hundreds of kidney dialysis patients were dead in El Geneina Hospital as a result of the RSF militia occupation of hospitals and cutting their supplies. The RSF militia continues to occupy, loot, and deliberately destroy citizens’ homes, vital infrastructure in Sudan.
The activists loyal to the RSF militia are calling them to execute who oppose them. Video clips emerged in social media of the activist loyal to the RSF militia, Al-Rabee Abdel Moneim, who resides in the UK, calling for the assassination of the state of West Darfur Governor, as soon as he was arrested. Also, accusing him of inciting people to rebel against the RSF. A few hours later, the state of West Darfur Governor was killed by the RSF militia.
The brutal crimes committed by the RSF militia are carried out under the cover of internal politics, regional forces with strategic interests, businessmen, and community figures who have huge investment links with the rebel leader.
Therefore, the RSF militia leaders must be brought to a fair trial. The RSF militia must be classified as a terrorist militia. All international laws must be applied, and it must be condemned by everyone their because violations are full-fledged crimes.

Behind the scenes of the IGAD summit and the reasons for Sudan’s refusal to Kenya’s presidency of the Quartet
Sudan rejected Kenya’s presidency of the Quartet of the IGAD Summit.
Sudan has reservations about some of the provisions of the IGAD summit, which was held in the Djiboutian capital recently. The reservation comes in the wake of the position taken by the Government of Sudan regarding some of what was done at this summit, in which Kenya was assigned to chair the Quartet Committee on Sudan. The Sudanese government believes that Kenya is not neutral in the current war between the SAF and the RSF militia, and Nairobi has shown its support for the RSF militia by hosting and meeting with some of their employees.
Kenya allowed the RSF militia advisor Youssef Ezzat El Mahari to participate in the IGAD Summit with a Kenyan passport, and he travelled with the Kenyan President in one plane for this summit.
Observers believe that the Kenyan president plays a dirty role through his partnership with the leader of the RSF militia in smuggling Sudanese gold, and he has huge business partnerships with the RSF militia leader, especially after the latter funded the Kenyan president’s election campaign.
